Being a Flower Mound, TX photographer sure does have its perks! Towards the beginning of the year, I was approached by a lovely woman. She was looking for a photography session with her and her husband. After we chatted back and forth about her vision, I was hooked! You know how you can just tell you are going to vibe well with someone? Well, we totally did and I was super excited! We scheduled a time that worked well for them and settled on Stone Creek Park. One of the many amazing parks here in Flower Mound, TX. Although they currently reside outside of Flower Mound, they agreed that this location was what they were looking for.
Little did her husband know, we were scheming behind the scenes. She emailed me a few days before their session with a HUGE surprise. Can you guess what it was? She was expecting and wanted to capture her reveal to him. This is stuff of photographers dreams. You all know, I am huge on connection, emotion, and storytelling.
Obviously, this is something that can not be re-created so we acted fast and put together a plan.
She had the incredible idea to arrange a floral bouquet and stick her pregnancy test inside of that. It was genius. We could just bring everything with us, not worry about something slipping. I wanted this to be perfect for them so we made sure we had a code word for a spot she liked. Until then, we carried on our session just like I normally would. All the while, super anxious and excited for what was about to come.
We settled on a spot and it was go time! There isn’t much I can say that can come close to what the photos show. So without further delay, the reveal!
I still get chills every time I look at these!
After all the incredible moments, we were running out of light to shoot. I was so sad to have completed our session, but so excited for them to go and celebrate with each other. As I was pulling out of the parking lot, I saw an incredible sunset. Down in the creek, there are a bunch of trees so really no where good to catch those amazing Texas sunsets. I quickly called them and asked if they wanted to go to another location just down the road to soak up that sunset. They agreed! The goodness just continued!
This is what photography is all about for me. Capturing these incredible moments and being able to deliver a memory for couples to relive over and over!
