Family photography means so much to me, especially when it involves my own family. This beautiful family is my brother in law, his gorgeous wife and their ridiculously adorable son. I may be biased but they make a dang cute baby! It is such an honor to photograph your own family. Plus, I get to boss them around a little bit more than a client. Haha!
They came to visit Dallas over Thanksgiving and we knew we had to squeeze in their family photos. What we didn’t plan for was the naps sweet baby Quinn needed to take. So we waited until the very last second to wake him from his nap hoping he would still be in good spirits for their pictures. He did amazing and so did they. He is so curious and was looking around at all the other people at Murrell Park taking photos as well. Ian and Kim did such a great job moving back and forth and every which way to get the shot.
Can we talk about their outfits for a second, too? Kim does such an amazing job when it comes to choosing outfits. I mean, who doesn’t love a chunky babe in a beanie and suspenders? And, her dress… Zara, of course!
We started shooting a little later than we had anticipated so we knew we had to move quick! Although it was later, we caught the most gorgeous light in a short amount of time and it was perfect! We started in the field to get that pretty back light and then moved down to the lake side to soak up every last second of the sunset.
I’m so glad I get watch this peanut grow!
